The American Red Cross Haiti Project
In the midst of all this snow and cold weather, we have several students who are warming the hearts of so many other students and adults, while raising money for a good cause. Mrs. DeMarco and Mrs. Carolla's 2nd & 3rd grade students have had busy hands! They have been braiding and selling bracelets to fellow students and staff in the school. Their enthusiasm has encouraged other students from other grades to stop in during their lunch and recess to assist in the making of these colorful bacelets!
After making about 300 bracelets, the class is close to raising $500 (this is including donations that have come in from students and staff). The bracelets were sold for $1 each. All proceeds will go to The American Red Cross, to benefit the children in Haiti.
